Pune Agri Hackthon is open to startups, researchers, students, and Agri-Tech innovators. Join us to create impactful solutions for the future of Indian farming. Collaborate, innovate, 
and make a real difference in the Agri sector.
Your ideas can drive the next revolution in sustainable farming!

Eligibility Criteria

Open to Startups, Researchers, Students, and Innovators working in
Agri-Tech. 

No Entry Fee required

Startups must be in

Pre-revenue, Early-stage, or Growth stage

Must be working on one of the 9 Agri-Sectors:

  • Technologies for Restoring Soil Health Degradation

  • Smart Water Management Including Quality, Automation and Fertigation

  • Farm Mechanization: Use of AI and Robotics in Agriculture

  • Agro Processing and Value Chain Including Marketing and Export

  • Geospatial & GIS-Based Crop Survey System

  • Innovations in Renewable Energy in Agriculture and Farm Waste Management

  • Plant Protection: Pest and Disease Forecasting and Management

  • Innovations in Climate Resilient, Digital and Sustainable Agriculture

  • AI for Smart Agriculture Administration

Process and Terms & Conditions 

Registration

Participants must register and submit their entries through the official contest portal.

Who can participate?

Startups, Students & Mentors, Scientists, Industry, Entrepreneurs, Progressive farmers, NGOs, etc.

Participation is open for both Individuals and Teams. (Team size maximum 5 people)

Selection Committee

Agriculture Experts, Startup Mentors, and Technology Experts

Documents Required

  • Team details (If participating as a team)

  • Pitch deck (10 slides max)

  • Video (1-2 min explaining innovation)

  • MVP (if applicable)

Submission Guidelines

Participants are required to include the following details
in their idea submission:

  • Problem Description – Clearly describe the agricultural problem or challenge your solution aims to address.

  • Concept Statement – Provide a brief overview of your proposed idea or solution.

  • Methodology – Explain the approach, technology, or process you will use to develop and implement the solution.

  • Deliverables – Outline the expected outcomes, outputs, or results of your proposed solution.

  • Feasibility (Technical & Economic) – Demonstrate the technical viability of the solution and its economic practicality.

  • Scalability – Explain how the solution can be scaled up or replicated to benefit a larger number of farmers or regions.

Evaluation Rounds

  • ​Concept Pitch
    (Virtual - Based on online submission)​

  • Prototype Testing (Live Demo)

  • Final Presentation and Q&A with Jury

  • The organizers reserve the right to withhold or cancel the prize for any
    problem statement if satisfactory responses are not received.​

  • The judges’ decisions are final and not subject to appeal.​​

Prizes 

Each problem statement will have winner and one runner up

Winner will get cash prize of
Rs.25 Lakh
(One winner for each problem statement)​

Runner-up will get cash prize of Rs.15 Lakh

(One Runner-up for each problem statement)

Please Note : Travel and accommodation expenses, within government-approved limits, will be reimbursed to finalists who attend and showcase their ideas at the 3-day exhibition in Pune for 15 to 17 May 2026.
